The first is accuracy. The cleanliness of hydraulic oil must be considered for every hydraulic system, which is also the original purpose of using oil filter element.
The second is strength and corrosion resistance.
Finally, choose different filtering functions and accuracies of filter element according to different installation positions.
Filter element is a filtering element made of porous filtering material. It intercepts solid particles in the medium by surface interception and curved hole adsorption, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying the medium.
At the same time, the intercepted solid particles block the medium channel of the filter element, making the pressure difference between the two ends of the filter element increase. When the pressure difference between the two ends of the filter element reaches its limit, the filter element can not continue to work and needs to be replaced. Therefore, filter element is a consumable in the system.

Filtration accuracy
First of all, determine the cleanliness level of the hydraulic system according to the needs of the hydraulic system, and then according to this cleanliness level, select the filtration accuracy of the oil filter element according to the attached table. The nominal filtration cleanliness of hydraulic filter element commonly used in engineering machinery is 10μm.
Flow characteristics
The flow and pressure drop of oil liquid through filter element are important parameters of flow characteristics. According to ISO3968-91 standard, flow characteristic experiment should be carried out to draw the flow-pressure drop characteristic curve. Under the rated oil supply pressure, the total pressure drop (sum of filter housing pressure drop and filter element) should be generally below 0.2Mpa.
Strength of filter element
The burst-impact test should be carried out according to ISO2941-83 standard, and the pressure drop should be greater than the specified value when the filter element is damaged.
Flow fatigue characteristics
The fatigue experiment of 100,000 cycles should be carried out according to ISO3724-90 standard.
Test of adaptability to hydraulic oil
Pressure flow bearing test should be carried out according to ISO2943-83 standard.
