Generally speaking, the replacement time of coalescing filter element depends on its actual working condition. At present, there is no specific standard for the replacement time of coalescing filter element in oil-water separation industry. But we can judge whether the filter element needs to be replaced by several factors.
1. When the flow suddenly decreases and the pressure rises compared with usual, this time is a signal that the coalescence filter is blocked. The filter element needs to be replaced.
2. When the oil separation is not clean, after several times of separation and filtration, the oil-water mixture still appears and the oil layer floats.
3. Observe the pressure gauge. When it is used for a period of time, the pressure gauge alarms or the pressure is too high, which is also a signal to replace the filter element.
We suggest that the coalescer element should be replaced according to the quality and environment of filtered oil or gas, which can determine the appropriate replacement time, prolong the service life of the filter element, filter out clean oil and gas, save unnecessary downtime and replace the coalescence filter element, and significantly reduce the maintenance cost while serving the coalescence filter.
